I struggled with what to call this installment of the Crusades series. I was thinking "The Crusades: Part 2, OMG" or "Part 2, WTH." Or even "Part 2, Does Leadership Matter?" In Part 2, we see the leadership of the Seljuk Empire try time and time again to overcome the Crusaders. Bad luck, cowardice, sloth, alcoholism, madness, narcissism, and the pursuit of self-interest all conspire to give the...

Dr. Casagranda weaves a narrative in Part l and Part ll that is fascinating. The linkages of his history is full of incredible detail and amazing coincidences that would make an epic fictional worthy of Honer, yet it is the reality of The Conquest. I don't know how he amassed all of this data and detail, but it is a riveting story. Thank you for pulling all this historical and disparate information together into an excellent, if not terrifying and tragic, tale of madness and then twisted logic. Incredibly wild and fantastic, scholarly and compelling work.

Only a Satanist could sympathize with the sacrifice and consumption of human flesh to the tune of up to 250k humans per year. He was also clearly not happy that the entire continent voluntarily converted to Christianity. Warped…. He also skipped the child sacrifices, I guess there wasn’t enough time or logical defense for that clear demonic behavior.

It's easy to say they should've taken Moscow. But it wouldn't have won the war for them just like it didn't for Napoleon. Better to not have almost 700k on the flank of your salient or else the disaster of winter 41 would've been even worse. That was Hitlers call like it or not. Surviving the Winter of 41 of the sucessful supply of the Demyansk pocket against the advice of his generals convinced him the same should be done at Stalingrad which resulted in even worse disaster. So it's ok to give him credit for things he did. It always ends in defeat either way. If he was a bumbling idiot as we like to pretend then it was shameful it took literally the entire world to defeat him. Also it wasn't about morale they could either ship winter uniforms or ammunition and it was a hard but clear decision to make when the Russians were counter attacking. I don't appreciate the lies told about WW2 but at least the scale of Soviet sacrifices were well covered.

excellent but..... minute 52 the sardinians etc = not accurate, Sardinia was part of Piedmont. The driving force was Piedmont under the Savoy royal family. the combined state was called Sardinia because the ownership of Sardinia made the Savoia kings instead on "only" dukes (and be king instead of dukes is a big deal indeed)

So now sub Saharan African comes into play ? Being that Egypt is in Africa . And a deeper point to that is to show that the biggest secret of all the so-called African-Americans that he’s referring to isn’t African at all?. Not to mention those same people who would have the outcry about her playing that role or the invaders because of those were the real people in that area of Africa they would know how to speak the native tongue that was on those walls in the pyramids.

Just to set the record straight , that crash that wiped out the Polish govt was not an assassination It was a chain of events that has happened many times in aviation and will surely happen again In short 1- Pilot of the (military) airplane was for reasons of prestige the commander of the air base it took off from he was "current" (ie authorized) on the aircraft type but with the bare minimum of required recent flying hours (reason: you get additional flight pay that way) 2- The weather was below the minimum allowed for landing at the destination airport 3- Nevertheless a presidential aide put pressure on the flight crew to land anyway The plane came in too low and clipped a whole row of trees before crashing As I said the above chain of events in part or in whole is a classic of how not to do things
